I've taken up writing adventures as a way to let my stories out. Whether it involves pirate court heists and intrigue, playable video game tutorials whose purpose will solely be to annoy the players (while they have fun) or chaos bound demons seeking peace in a war-filled world, I'm there, writing my heart out.At the current moment, I'm working on a project called 'The Crystal City' which can be found on my twitter under the hashtag #TheCrystalCity.

Let them have fun figuring out shortcuts and bonus quests while they try to navigate Etoya - an island that slowly turns its inhabitants into mindless NPCs whose only jobs are to further the storyline.Get ready to laugh at their pain or laugh with them as they work themselves into frustrated frenzies - or let them tear the entire island apart.

SLEEPING GOLDIt was supposed to be a simple job, wasn’t it?Get in, get the treasure, get out. But turns out, empty dragon lairs don’t stay empty for long, and the new monster that inhabits it isn’t something one would like to clash with. But a job is a job, and the treasure must be acquired - without waking the monster that slumbers next to the piles and piles of gold and gems and magical items.Put your silent boots on, take a deep breath, and get ready to dive into the awaiting peril as you and your party find yourselves within the old lair of a dragon - supposedly empty, it has been occupied by a less than pleasant surprise, and you must stay silent, lest you wake the beast. The problem is that this old dragon lair still has some fire to spare, and the party has to avoid falling rubble, dangerous terrain and a monster that lurks beneath the piles and piles of treasure. The thieves have a lot of surprises to experience, and to complicate matters more, they might not be alone.

WICKED WITCHES' WATER WORLDWelcome, weary adventurer, to a place of terror wonder - a place where you can rest your hurting feet and enjoy all that life has to offer. A place, where sacrifice fun takes precedence over the next hunt or the next quest, where you do not have to dwell on your actions as you navigate a world of political intrigue.A place filled to the brim with hags and their horrifying wondrous creations that will quickly become the cesspool of dread safe haven that you have always sought.Welcome to the Wicked Witches’ Water World.

THE WATER PARKThe park will always appear when the adventurer needs it the most. A member of the party might feel left out - they might feel lost or isolated or the whole party might be feeling defeated. This is where the Wicked Witches’ Water World comes into play. These hags aren’t ordinary hags - nor are they particularly malicious (if you don’t count their sometimes a bit looked down upon ways that they are working out with PR). No, these hags simply want to help. And what’s the best way to bring a party together?Danger.

Have you ever wanted more stories about the Greek Gods? Then this is the story for you!Julia finds a group from the Greek Pantheon thrashing her apartment because they've crashed on modern Earth and they're stuck without their powers. That's kind of lucky for Julia, though, because she very much wouldn't know how to deal with Gods and Goddesses when they're at their most powerful.Read on as Julia tames the wild deities (or so she thinks) while they regain their powers, teaching them that compassion and empathy aren't just for humans and that the Gods might learn a little from the mortals that they so look down upon.Click the link below or the picture to read the first chapter or read the following snippet!

“This is all your fault, Hades!”The outburst came from the living room and was easily recognized as coming from Ares. Him, she would have no qualms about kicking out. Firehands would have to leash his temper and the flames it caused, or he would wake up to a bucket of water to douse it for him.It took her all of two seconds to get into the room. Just in time to see Ares leaping at the dark and brooding figure, Hades regarding him with dark eyes as he merely side-stepped.God of War, indeed, went through her head at the scene.Ares, wholly imbalanced, careened directly into her coffee table, smashing into the glass surface and whipping all of her vases and candles and stuff off it. All while cursing up a storm.“Alright, listen to me,” Julia said, walking into the middle of the room and sending her best glares to the people in the room. “Either you play nice, or I’m throwing you out before you get a chance to show off your powers.”Ares started protesting at that, the his cheeks reddening. Fire even spurted from his hands. Again.“And you, Firehands,” Julia continued, a finger pointing at him. “I will not hesitate to actually throw you out of this apartment, God of War or no.”She sent a prayer to the current Gods that he would believe her, before she cut him off again.“I don’t care that you consider yourselves Gods. I don’t care that you somewhere and somehow might be powerful beyond my greatest fathoms. You’re in my house, and if you’re going to stay, then you better start listening to the rules I put up.“First of all, no physical fighting – and no magical for that sake,” Julia held up a finger, her posture and voice changing. She made a mental note of paying the 20 dollars for that bet about whether or not she had a manager mode. This was clearly it.“Second, if you ever even so much as think about putting curses on me, I will find a way to destroy your immortal lives.”Hera’s smirk sent her over the edge and she might actually have seen red in that moment as she pulled herself to her full height and walked over to her, each step as graceful as she could muster. Face to face with her, she whispered to the ‘Goddess’.“I know of the mortals in Greek mythology. I will find a way to end you, if that is what it takes. Never underestimate a human, or you might just end up with your pretty little head on a stake.”As chestnut eyes narrowed in return, the lips of the Queen of the Heavens morphed into a thin line.Yeah, threatening the Queen of Gods might not have been her finest hour.

Glimmer, a fast-paced science fiction story

Sneak peak of the first chapter of Glimmer, a fast-paced Science fiction story filled to the brim with humor, friendly banter and different species of aliens. One
A flick of the wrist, a rev and a skid, she barely missed the hallowed grounds. Looking over her shoulder, she noticed a second too late that her HUD was flashing. Vega smiled as chills ran down her spine while she felt the hover tilt below her, threatening to fall over.
“C’mon,” she urged the old thing. “Riot, we’ve been at this for a long time. I know you can do it.”
The side of the hover grinded against the railing, deep lines cutting into the battered form of the vehicle. Then with a thunk the sensors were back on the ground, swiftly recalibrating as Vega revved the engine once more.
This time for real. The crowd went wild, and she looked up to see the drone camera following close on the tail of Riot, struggling to keep up with her through the harsh winds. Vega broke out into a wild grin, one of her hands finding the nearest switch on the dash and flicking it. She relished in the roar that echoed in her ears as the holo light show she’d programmed started up in the dust behind her, giving the characters enough substance to seem real.“Enjoy it while it lasts.”The dry voice only made her smile wider. Comet would have done the same, and they both knew it - the Liriscent was a sucker for showing off.“I’m just having a little fun,” Vega answered, skidding around another turn and leaving her competition in the dust. “Besides, you guys are the one benefitting from it all. Why do you think we have so many donors?”“This isn’t really the scene for that kind of thing.”Another voice, still sounding from the comn, and Vega rolled her eyes, her grin widening further.“This is very much the scene for that kind of thing,” Vega replied, gripping the wheel a little tighter as she felt herself rip through the dust and rocks below her. Riot really needed to have her sensors for rough terrain upgraded.“Yes, you’re right,” the comn sounded again, and Vega could just imagine Surge throwing up his hands in frustration. “There’s always a time for dying, and I’m sure the crowd would go nuts then. Lots of sympathetic gifts to the family and friends of the dead.”There was a laugh in the back of the line, and Vega couldn’t help but to join in, the three of them sharing the adrenaline through their line. They had access to her monitors, of course, and could see anything she could, along with a shot of her face. She made sure to look right at the camera recording her. “Are you sure that Shadow isn’t there? You’re beginning to sound like-”“Vega watch out!”She was cut off by both Surge and Comet screaming into their microphones, and when she snapped her head towards her monitor neon lights flashed. Beyond the holoscreen, reds and oranges signalled to the crowd as screams rose from the masses. The roar shifted, became swollen and twisted as the ground beneath her began twisting, cracks littering the earth like spider webs. In her rear mirror, a giant beast rose from the depths of one crack, dragging itself upwards with clawed hands...Read the full free chapter one of Glimmer on my Patreon by clicking the link below!

The golden title says 'Take Me To Olympus' with a sketched up Olympus in gold in the bottom

Welcome Vaulters! This is going to be the first issue of The Vault, a TTRPG, and writing magazine designed to bring you joy and tips for your games and your creative processes. Each issue will have its own focus on a part of fantasy that I find interesting, and I am all for hearing new ideas, so feel free to shoot me a message! With introductions out of the way, let’s get right down to business - Witches, Wands & Wicked Wards takes a deep dive into the mysterious worlds of witches, with ideas for weaving in some badass ladies to terrify your players, writing unique ways of spellwork in your story or for the curious mind who might want to take a look at new ways to get their inspiration brewing. And of course we can’t forget the magic users who prefer to call themselves something other than witches! There’ll be plenty of potion practice for all genders, leading with where to find the best herbs and how to use them to curse your enemies. After that, we’ll dive into the territory that has a lot of our minds occupied - how to find a furry friend and what to do if you’ve accidentally offended one, because there is no wrath like a scorned familiar.May your blessings be potent and your curses find their mark.Click the link below or the picture to read the articles currently online or read the following snippet!

The articles will of course have a delicious layout when the magazine is finished, but as of now, you can see mock-ups of what the layout might look like in the future:

The Stereotypical WitchWitches have long since been a staple in magic worlds - whether they embody evil as hags or they introduce both young and old to a world of wonder and magic. They are a classic portrayal of imagination, but they’re also used to demonize groups of people. Just take a look at the classic hag. We all know where this is going. But we’re storytellers, aren’t we? Which means that we’re the ones who set the precedent. And we’re the ones who need to change it up, if we’re ever going to move forward from the stereotypical witch. There’s much to be said about the gendered and racial characteristics of especially hags, but we’re not going to delve deep into that. Instead, try closing your eyes (not really, unless you have a text reader installed on your computer or phone), and imagine, for a moment, the following scenarios....A puff of purple smoke billows from the cauldron on the floor. The witch coughs, running her hand through her frizzy dark hair as she stumbles back, slamming into the bookshelf behind her. A few vials that litter the shelves fall down, one of them landing on the black cat that stares up at her, clearly unimpressed. The witch rubs her eyes but pauses when she sees her dark skin glittering. She looks at the cat and laughs. “I think I put in too much glitter…”...The waters churn as he zips through it, leaving the muddy floor of the lake to stir in his wake. An arrow lands in his long tail, the muscles in it spasming as his face contorts in pain. He turns, eyes turning white in the murky water as he lifts his hands, muttering an incantation that bristles with power…...The chalky laugh sends a chill down the spines of the interlopers. She has them where she wants them and her fingers twitch as they reach for the potion at her side. “Come little humans, just a step further,” she whispers as she draws her arm back, launching the potion into the room and activating the dormant wards on the ground. A cackle worms its way through her lips. “We’re going to have so much fun …”They’re all very different witches and they utilize very different forms to make their mark on the world around them. That’s what I’m trying to get across - witches don’t have to be these generic creatures that walk around a cauldron as they wait for the next child to fall into their trap.
So here are a few ways to make your witch unique. Have them stand out a little in your stories and watch as you mesmerize the ones around you.
First of all, you have to find them a signature way of using magic. Not all people have the same jobs or interests, and that should apply to witches, too, in order to make them three-dimensional characters. I’m talking about whether they prefer potions, wards, spells, or maybe they simply summon creatures to do their dirty work. Then comes the second part - for the sake of everyone you’ll expose your work to, do not let them be another witch in a pointy hat and black baggy dress or garments. It’s tired and it has no personality whatsoever unless you want said witch to resemble a gelatinous cube more than any kind of person with a unique personality. And no, I’m not asking you to plan out a thousand different outfits, I’m just begging you to give them some style. Because whether we like it or not, outfits do actually say a lot about the people that wear them. Styles might contrast or complement personalities, or they might be used to make a statement.Thirdly, give them goals. Any goals that don’t involve eating children, kidnapping children, eating people or cursing people are good. Well, at least they are better than the tried and true, in my eyes.Hell, have a witch who only wants to obliterate the townsfolk because they set their town upon a sacred area and the witch has only left a century ago and it’s rude to just disrespect people like that. All of this is of course not to say that you can never make another generic witch. It’s just so much more fun if there are different types and shapes and personalities that we can be blown away by. Because a story can only ever get as good as its characters.
